One of the biggest errors I see is the breaking of the wrist during the chip shot.
Here is a simple but great drill that you can try to help keep your arms working together and your wrists working as one.
Drill
1. Prepare yourself for a practice chip shot
2. Take a swing and at impact (where the ball 'would' be) release your back hand off the ball (right for right handers and left for lefties)
3. Practice this swing a few times then go ahead and add a ball in
4. Remembering to put a little bit of weight on the front foot, the ball positioned in the middle or towards the back of your stance and keep rotating through.
This will help you rotate towards the target!
